Simon stepped onto his first offshore deepwater drilling rig knowing nothing other than no one could be more nervous than him. Some 50 rigs later covering some 25+ countries he understands what delivers great outcomes and what will deprive an operation of achieving high performance that is safe and sustainable.
Since 2000 Simon has worked with multi-national organisations in the delivery of programs and initiatives that will deliver change in high-risk work environments where safe performance is a non-negotiable.
Simon is a graduate of Flinders University and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He is the holder of an Innovation Patent for the methodology and measurement of risk appetite (HARTSĀ®).
He is actively involved in community service and is a keen sportsperson having competed and medalled in national and international competition and remains actively involved in sport as a coach and mentor.
Simon was a Torchbearer for the Sydney 2000 Olympics in recognition of services to the community.
