Simon Phin - When Will You Find Your Moral Courage?

The West is gnawing its teeth about what to do with Ukraine. It's obvious, it's just that it requires moral courage.

When bp & Shell & Equinor pulled the pin on Putin's Russia it was a clear statement - we won't watch this slide by. It was at a cost (upwards of $75bn), but the cost to not act?

Now it's up to many of us to decide where we stand on this issue of humanity & ethics.

With Putin playing Hitler's playbook of 1939 we need courage & collective action in March 2022. We need it now.

This brilliant article by Franklin Foer for The Atlantic succinctly demonstrates that leadership is never easy.

Volodymyr Zelensky was much of an unknown until days ago, today, he's what we look to in courage, in humanity and in leadership. As Foer states,

'But it is hard to think of another recent instance in which one human being has defied the collective expectations for his behaviour and provided such an inspiring moment of service to the people, clarifying the terms of the conflict through his example'.

We need to support all Ukrainians and importantly, we need to support Zelensky.
